Just Thursday ~ September 9, 2010

Outside my window.. just the fabulous dark hallway of the community center.

The time is.. 12:19pm
Today I feel.. sleepy.  I stayed up WAY too late last night and on top of that I did not sleep well.
I am thinking.. about the new pillows we bought last weekend.  I'm pretty sure they are the reason for my sleepless nights.  I'm not a fan.
At the moment, I am thankful.. that it's lunch time.  The craptastick part though, is that I already inhaled my yummy spinach and cheese stuffed rigatoni smothered in seasoning, olive oil, and chopped asparagus.  I want more.
I am going.. to have a pear instead, since I don't have any more yummy goodness.
I am wearing.. black dress pants, a gray three quarter sleeved, v-neck sweater (my two favorites, three quarter length sleeves and v-necks), black ankle high healed boots, and jewels.  Broke out one of my long necklaces today, I love long necklaces.
I wish.. I had more yummy spinach and cheese stuffed rigatoni, smothered in spices and olive oil with chopped asparagus. :-)
I am reading.. This Family of Mine by, Victoria
Gotti.  I'm not getting too far in this book.  I haven't picked it up in a few weeks.
I am working on.. the walking program at work.  We got pedometers, and the goal is to collectively walk across America by November.
I am hoping.. there are left overs from tonight's Pizza Night.  I am a fan of leftovers these days, because then I do not have to worry about what to pack for lunch.
I am hearing.. my coworker chat with another coworker about the going away happy hour after work.  I'm bummed I can't make it...no sitter.  The downfall of a husband who works nights.  They are going to Chilango's, my new favorite local Mexican restaurant.  Hubby and I went there last Friday for dinner....yummy yum yum.  And their margaritas were phenomenal.  The bartender had the Tequila bottle tipped and pouring for quite some time....oooh weeee!
Around the house.. it's a disaster.  Over the holiday weekend I was a lazy bum, well kinda, I organized the toy room and the coat closet instead of dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.  I'll have double the dirt to clean this weekend.
I bet you didn't know.. not sure, I've pretty much shared everything.
One of my favorite.. cooking utensils is my crock pot.  I am always looking for new yummy recipes, so if you have any send them my way.
My weekend plans include.. I'm not really sure.  Nothing set in stone.  I wish it would include a night of karaoke with my sister like last weekend.  Seriously one of the funnest and funniest nights I've ever had.

How is YOUR Thursday? I'd really like to know.  Click on over to Abby's place to share.

  1. I want to reconnect with my crockpot! In my head it always sounds like such a great idea, but we hardly ever use it. I just ordered a slow-cooker cookbook though & am hoping it gets me to using it!

  2. Oh I just LOVE crockpot meals! I love walking into the house knowing supper is taken care of and the whole house smells wonderful! Too bad you can't go out with the work people..on the other hand at least you like the people you work with enough to want to see them after hours! :) Thanks for linking up..don't worry about the house too much [afterall, I'm sure those boys don't! :]

  3. This was a cute meme.
I'm all about the question/answer period anyway.
As for your house having to do double duty, just think of it this way: it didnt' get done last weekend, it'll get done this weekend...unless the fairies come by. Then you won't have to do anything!

  4. Crock pot recipe. I have one that doesn't neccessarily look the best but tastes OH MY GRACIOUS GOOD!!!! Take a tenderized round steak that is thawed. Fix a box of stuffing (I like chicken. It sounds weird but it works.) Take the cooked stuffing and spread it over the round steak and then roll it up like a jelly roll. Set in inside the crock pot. Pour two small can of cream of whatever soup over it. My preference is one can of cream of celery and one can of cream of mushroom. I also add a can or so of water to it. Turn it on low and let it cook all day. Like I said, it may not look the best but it tastes oh my gracious!!!! Tell me what you think!!!
